Illinois was never my dream state but I have to tell you that after living here for a few months this place is really starting to grow on me. My husband took the job here without consulting me and I was definitely pretty upset about it for a while but when you’re married you have to go with each other and so that’s what I did. My other concern was that since I work from home I would get bored not being in a big, walkable city like I was used to but I actually really like living in a neighborhood and an area where I can walk the dog without a leash! It’s really peaceful here and I spent a lot of days on the front porch with my laptop and our wireless internet access Schaumburg connection card doing my work in the fresh air. There wasn’t a lot of fresh air in Boston so I have to say I think we might have traded up. There are pluses and minuses anywhere you go!
